Literature Text

Colliding into the morning
Before we had a chance to dream,
And the horror of my grasp is too much for you to bear.
I’m the easy target now.
Rolling over doesn’t help sleep come nearer,
It’s so far from me.
We’re living like we’re dead,
You and I.
Routine falling in place.
Give me something new,
Give me a kiss that means something to you,
Don’t bother thinking how it feels for me.
Give me a heart attack.
We’re back and suffering now,
In all the thing’s I’ve lost.
We’re not as simple as,
The roots beneath us on cold, grey mornings.
We weren’t meant to be in the same place.
We should be in different times.
It was my idea to lie...
I gave up the fort.
Delusions of paranoia,
Aches of the approaching winter.
Summer’s gone,
And the cold is never too near.
Yet Winter’s what I fear.
im so sorry
